87 Volunteers Will Represent KFU at the World Festival of Youth and Students

The Festival is slated for October 14th – 22nd in Sochi and Moscow.

The Kazanites will join 5,000 volunteers from all over the country. There are also 93 people from other institutions in Tatarstan, thus making the delegation 180 persons strong. They will engage in transport logistics, ceremonies, catering, medical assistance, media events, delegation events, translation, and many other services. The team will arrive to Sochi a week before the Festival to study the ins and outs of their functional responsibilities.

The competition for volunteer spots was intense, with 12-to-1 ratio in the finals. 4,500 people applied to the Kazan Volunteer Center. The winners then had a three-day training with competent educators.

This XIXth festival's motto is "For Peace, Solidarity and Social Justice, we Struggle against Imperialism - Honoring our past, we build the future!" Over 20 thousand young people from 159 countries are attending. This is the third such festival in the history of our country, with the previous two held by Soviet Union in 1957 and 1985.
