The Center of Testing Russian as a Foreign Language is opened at the Institute of Distance Learning and International Programs in KFU branch in Naberezhnye Chelny on the basis of the signed contract with the International Centre for Testing of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

The Center carries out certification exams in Russian as a foreign language in accordance with the Russian state system (TORFL), testing for foreign citizens and stateless persons necessary to apply for Russian citizenship.
Those who have successfully passed the test will receive a certificate of the international standard. The issued certificates are recognized by ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe).

Test of Russian as a foreign language.
Elementary level. Successful performance in the Elementary Test represents a standard of initial competence in Russian which enables a candidate to satisfy his elementary communicative needs in a limited number of everyday situations.

Basic level. Successful performance in the Preliminary Test represents a standard of competence in Russian which enables a candidate to satisfy basic communicative needs in a limited number of situations in everyday and cultural spheres. The certificate is required to obtain Russian citizenship.

First Level Certificate (TRKI-1). Successful performance in the First Level Certificate indicates an intermediate level of competence, which enables a candidate to satisfy his main communicative needs in everyday, cultural, educational and professional spheres in line with the State Standard of Competence in Russian as a Foreign Language. The Certificate is required to enter universities of the Russian Federation.

Testing will be done every month as the group is completed. The first test is on January 31, 2013.
It is possible to take preparatory courses of the Russian language.
