The first step to the International Olympiad in 2016

Ministry for Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan (MES RT) started the regional stage of the International Olympiad in Informatics which is to be held in Kazan in July, 2016.

Reference: The capital of Tatarstan was fighting for the right of holding the International Olympiad in Informatics among the cities in Japan and Azerbaijan. In 2012 the student worldwide competition in informatics took place in Italy. In 2013the International Olympiad in Informatics will be held in Australia, in 2014 – in China, in 2015 – in Kazakhstan.

Head of Informatization Department of MES RT Nadezhda Sulimova, Advisor for pre-university, general and pedagogic education to KFU Rector Lyudmila Nugumanova, KFU IT- School Director Irek Fatkhutdinov greeted the students and wished them luck before the beginning of the competition.

The regional competition is based on KFU IT-School and includes two steps: the first is on 19th of January, the second is on 21st of January. To win the right to participate in this prestigious intellectual competition the students had to pass the municipal and school tests. The bests of the bests came to Kazan to continue the fight. Every participant received a username and a password in a large sport hall of the School with 120 computer monoblocks. Participants write the solutions of the problems in the programming languages ​​C, C + + or Java and send them on the test server.

Undoubtedly, the Olympiad unites the talented and ambitious students who are ready to reach new knowledge heights, who can work hard in order to obtain excellent results. According to the organizers, the Olympiad participants are a powerful force with innovative capacity. They will present Russian science in the nearest future. We sincerely wish all the participants of the Olympiad to unveal their abilities and talents, make new friends!

The award ceremony will be held on 22nd of January in the Assembly Hall of KFU IT-School.
