Teacher training in KFU: the view from Dresden

October 29 there was a meeting with the delegation from the Technical University of Dresden in Yelabuga Institute KFU.

"Knowledge creates bridges - education brings people together" is the motto of the Technical University of Dresden. Like Kazan University, it is a leading center for the training of teachers. These institutions unite joint educational projects: seminars, series of lectures, round tables and academic internships.

We should remind that the next stage the last "bridge" between them was in June 2016, when the rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov held a meeting with the leadership of the Technical University resulting in the agreement on the preparations for the signing of a document on strategic cooperation. On October 26, a Memorandum of Understanding between Kazan Federal University (represented by the Institute of Psychology and Education) and the Centre for Education of teachers and research in the field of school education and vocational training of the Institute of Education of the Dresden Technical University was signed in KFU. Currently, the Center is a partner of KFUI in the implementation of the largest federal project - a strategic academic unit "The teacher of the XXI century".

The day before, on October 27 Ph.D., Professor, Director of the Center for Education Axel Hermann presented his model of teacher training used in the German system of teaching education at a public seminar in the IPO KFU. To compare different models of education foreign colleagues expressed a desire to get acquainted with the teacher training system in a classic teachers training college. For this purpose, on October 29, the German delegation visited Elabuga Institute KFU. The delegation, headed by Axel Hermann, included his deputy, the executive director of the Education Center Andrea Raynartst, Ph.D., scientific researcher of General didactics and lesson empirical studies Department Julia Koynova-Zellner.

During the visit, the guests visited the museums of the Institute and learned about the material and technical equipment of the educational process: language laboratory, mechanical laboratory and molecular physics, automation, power systems, theory and methodology of energy fundamentals teaching, faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

The following protocol event in the form of a round table turned into a great and very useful discussion about the peculiarities of the Russian and the German mentality in the matters of teacher training, which was attended by the rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, the Director of Yelabuga Institute KFU Elena Merzon, the Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education KFU Aydar Kalimullin , the deans of faculties, the heads and members of the Department of psychology, German philology and foreign languages.

Elena Efimovna acquainted the participants with feasible and new educational institute projects:. Research on the practical pedagogical training of students, the Laboratory of Applied Pedagogy and the Laboratory of a teacher, the Summer School of Education and so on. German guests spoke about the project "The synergetic training of teachers", whose main purpose is to coordinate various participants (members) of the teacher training process. The set of its evens fits into the overall concept of Dresden University - "Synergetic University."

Professor Axel Hermann noted that he was struck by the "level of performance in a high tempo, large extent, high concentration of activities on creation and development of social education area, the development of a variety of educational and research projects" in Yelabuga Institute KFU.

In his speech, the Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov mentioned so-called distributed system of teachers training on the basis of relevant (profile) institutions ( " The Institute of Physics prepares teachers of Physics ") and new projects related to its cultivation, the content of four main "strategic academic units" of KFU "Translational 7P medicine "" EcoNeft - global energy and material resources for the future "," Astrovyzov "," The teacher of the XXI century ".

In conclusion, Ilshat Rafkatovich thanked the German delegation for the visit and interest revealed to Kazan University, stressing that the university is interested to know the "third-party opinion, expert evaluation of their actions," and promised to support joint educational projects of the Centre teachers and research in the field of school education and vocational training of Education Institute of Dresden technical University and KFU.
