Congratulations to Rezeda Failevna Mukhametshina on being awarded Pushkin medal 'For Great Contribution to the Distribution of the Russian language'

The academic staff of Leo Tolstoy Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication congratulates the Director of the Higher School of Russian and Foreign Philology, professor of Russian and foreign literature Rezeda Failevna Mukhametshina on being awarded the Medal of A.S. Pushkin "For Great Contribution to the Distribution of the Russian language".

Established in 1977 in honor of the decade of the International Association of Russian Language and Literature, the medal of A.S. Pushkin is awarded for outstanding contribution to the spread of the Russian language, Russian literature and culture in foreign countries. Among those who have been honored with this award, there are representatives of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Japan and many other countries, prominent political and scientific figures.

The ceremony took place on October 5, 2016 at the plenary session of the 5th Congress of the Russian Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature which was called “The Dynamics of Linguistic and Cultural Processes in Modern Russia”. This high estimation is a sign of recognition of Rezeda Failevna’s success gained in both scientific and public activities.

Reseda Failevna is an active figure in the “Society of Russian literature”, a board member of “Russian Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature”; participant of scientific and practical research conducted in the framework of the development and implementation of the concept of teaching Russian language and literature in educational institutions of the Russian Federation.

The president of the International Association of Russian Language and Literature and the Russian Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature Lyudmila Verbitskaya noted Rezeda Failevna Mukhametshina’s great contribution to addressing issues related to the quality of teaching of Russian language and literature in secondary and higher education institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, to the preparation of genuine connoisseurs and preservers of Russian literature, highly qualified specialists in Russian philology, philological and teacher education.
