Undergraduate Enrolment Results Summarized

Final numbers of admissions to bachelor and specialist programs became known on August 9th.

The total number this year is 3,639. Average Unified State Exam scores for enrollees are 74.87 for the central campus in Kazan, 68.92 for Yelabuga, and 64.71 for Naberezhnye Chelny. Significantly more people were admitted to natural sciences, math, and IT programs this year in comparison with the past.

The Higher School of ITIS had the highest enrollees' USE score – almost 90. Other institutes also showed improvement in this parameter.

As for separate programs, however, humanities still took the lead. Linguistics freshmen showed a stunning 91 average USE score.

University-average competition was 15.5 persons per vacancy (up from 13.5 in 2015). The usual leaders in per-vacancy competition were Economics, Public Administration, Petroleum Industry, Advertising and PR, and General Medicine. The number of students from other Russian provinces was also higher compared to 2015.

Enrolment in master programs ends today, August 10th. The plan is to admit 1,471 full-time and 206 part-time students.
