The possibility was discussed with Executive Director of ACM ICPC William B. Poucher on July 26th.

The 28th International Olympiad in Informatics hasn't started yet, but other big events are already under consideration. The guests from ICPC have already visited buildings and campuses of the University with inspections.

Dr. Poucher said that he was totally satisfied with Kazan’s presentation. The sides then discussed which year is best. KFU prefers the nearest possible date, which is 2019. However, 2021 is also considered. One way or the other, all the infrastructure will be a hundred percent ready to host such a forum.

After the meeting the ICPC delegation proceeded to look around the city.
