Thirteen students and postgraduates won awards by the name of Ilsur Metshin.

December 25 - Annual Awarding Ceremony on behalf of Kazan Mayor according to results of students’ and postgraduates’ works of 2012.

For information: The Contest of students’ and postgraduates’ works on behalf of Kazan Mayor is held every year for stimulation of development of scientific research for topical problem solving of municipal corporations in the fields of industrial production, transport infrastructure, building, ecology and informational and telecommunication structure. The Contest was established in 1994. One of the Contest’s main conditions is feasibility of the project and its possible further implementation on the territory of Kazan and the region.

All presented works have potential application, the main projects cover research in issues of municipal services and social field of the city and in the field of physical-mathematical sciences as well.

150 students and postgraduates of Institutions of Higher Learning and Secondary Educational Institutions of the city have participated in the Contest in 2012 after the pre-selection procedure.  65 projects were admitted by expert board. 38 candidates were recommended to awards, there were 13 representatives of Kazan Federal University among them: Edward Bakulin, Anastasiya Zakharova, Airat Kiyamov, Denis Kogogin, Lubov Orlova, Aliya Faizullina, Egor Alakshin, Aleksandr Bravkov, Maksim Voronin, Leisan Gimranova, Polina Zvereva, Anastasiya Petrova and Konstantin Usachev.  

The Mayor congratulated young musicians, painters and scientists who, as he said, “reflect Kazan glory by their achievements in different fields” and wished new success.   The Mayor expressed certain gratitude to teachers and parents of scholars who supported young people to reveal their talents. 

“I have studied the projects of students and postgraduates, there are many creative, worthy ideas which are likely to be the basics of future scientific achievements. I am confident that you will be reputable citizens of our city, our Republic because such people as you propel our society forward. We view you as our real partners”, Ilsur Metshin addressed to scholars.

Every student of Secondary Educational Institutions received 10 000 rubles, each student of Institutions of Higher Learning received 20 000 rubles and every postgraduate received 30 000 rubles.
