Professor Tomoyuki Arakawa at Centre of Japanese Studies

Professor Tomoyuki Arakawa, an expert in teaching the Japanese language from Japan Foundation in Moscow visited Centre of Japanese Studies at KFU Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations on December, 14.

Mr. Arakawa and Nailya Akhtyamova, the First Deputy Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations discussed the results of cooperation and have identified its promising areas in 2013. It was agreed to work out a joint working plan for the KFU department of philology and culture of the Far East countries.

The 4-year and 5-year students had the opportunity to attend Mr. Arakawa’s class on the Japanese language. Mr. Arakawa also delivered an open lecture in English on “Love Triangles in Japanese Literature” accompanied by the presentation in Russian.
