University of Tsukuba Delegation Arrived to Kazan University

The guests will be in the city for 3 days.

The delegation wants to get a closer look at KFU’s potential and speak with executives.

Kazan University is a partner in Tsukuba's program called “Global Multilingual Education for Economical and Scientific Purposes in Japan, CIS and the Baltic States”. The agreement between KFU and Tsukuba was reached in February 2015 in Japan during the “New Vision for Universities in a Globalized Society: Cooperation among Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Japan” symposium.

Associate Professor of UT Yelena Tsygalnitskaya explained, «We graduate multilingual experts who will work in areas related to Japan in Russian-speaking countries. This program includes student exchange, we currently have one student from Kazan at Tsukuba and one student from Japan at KFU».

The program is in its second year out of five overall. Academic exchange and joint events are also forthcoming.

It's possible that one of the four students who joined the delegation will come to Russia next year, added Ms. Tsygalnitskaya.
