The Delegation of USA Young Politicians and Businessmen

15 politicians and businessmen from USA arrived in Kazan Federal University within the program of short-term information visits to Russia for young representatives of political, social, scientific and business circles of foreign states administered by Rossotrudnichestvo (The Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation) since 2011.

The Program was set up by Presidential Decree № 1394 dated October 19, 2011. It aims at the development of the public, business and scientific relations between the Russian Federation and foreign states; the promotion of an objective image of modern Russian society, its socio-political, socio-economic, scientific, educational and cultural changes.

The Program’s participants are young people between the age of 20-35 who have shown their business skills and are interested in cooperation with Russia.

According to the plan, the number of the Program’s participants in 2012 is 500 people, in 2013 – 650 people, starting from 2014 – 1000 people annually.

The members of the delegation took part in the Round table headed by KFU Vice-rector for International Relations Linar Latypov who made the University’s presentation.

The young US politicians and businessmen also made a tour of Museum of History and visited the concert devoted to the celebration of Kazan University’s birthday.
