Czech Students Are Eager to Study at Kazan University

New ties between KFU and Czech educational community continue to strengthen thanks to the Russian Language and Culture Center at Masaryk University.

Students of the Masaryk University Language Center are very interested in finding out more about Russian and Tatar culture, history of Kazan and its contemporary life. The textbooks used during the studies are of KFU's own production and were created by the experts in Russian as a foreign language. The engaging seminars are devoted to such topics as ethnic costumes, ethnic cuisine, ethnic celebrations, Russian and Tatar names, etc. The students then give presentations on their topics of choice.

The young people living in Brno are very impressed by the buoyant life at Kazan, its fast-paced development and numerous world-class events held here. They are also quite interested in learning more about Kazan University and its wide range of study programs and social activities.

Why are they hard at work studying Russian? Here are some of the answers: “Russia is a beautiful country, and Russian language will be of much use to me in the future”; “I study Russian because I love Russia”; “I study Russian to be able to travel across the country”; “I have been dreaming of studying Russian since childhood. I like Russia, Russian language and culture”.

February 2016 will be marked by the first batch of 10 Czech students arriving to Kazan University for the Winter School of Russian Language held by the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
