Kazan University and Johnson & Johnson to Cooperate in Medicine and Pharmacy

KFU and Janssen signed an agreement that outlines future cooperation in biomedicine and biopharmaceutics.

Janssen will serve as an outside expert of KFU’s projects in medication tests, medical equipment and materials production. The most promising ideas will be supported by the company through its innovation centers in Moscow and London. Besides, Kazan University will be a testing and evaluation ground for some programs in oncology and other important fields. The agreement also encompasses training for the University’s cadres.

After signing the agreement Country Manager of Janssen in Russia Katerina Pogodina stated that this partnership is a part of the firm’s strategy of alliances with the world’s top research communities. She expressed hope that joint work will produce excellent results in medicine and pharmacy.

Rector Ilshat Gafurov emphasized that this agreement is a unique chance of cooperation with one of the world leaders in healthcare. “We count on this partnership helping Russian scientists fulfil their potential globally and include our University and the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology in the worldwide research and development process”, said he.
