Rector Ilshat Gafurov made a pre-opening inspection of the facility on 32a Pushkina street.

Accompanying Dr. Gafurov were Vice-Rector for Social Education Arif Mezhvedilov, Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs Lenar Safiullin, and representatives of the student bodies.

Rector said that opening is planned to take place before New Year.

Beside this one, the dorm in Naberezhnye Chelny is also currently being refreshed. Dr. Gafurov promised that after these two the focus will be on renovating dorm number 1 on Krasnaya Pozitsiya street in Kazan – as soon as necessary funds are accumulated.

The students were very content with what they saw on Pushkina street – in particular, various color schemes and curtains instead of usual blinds. Guliya Sabirova from the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication shared, “I very much like the design, especially that the room colors are different – yellow, green, blue”.

Her schoolmates Elvina Nazipova and Landysh Zakizyanova also approved of the changes: “We had lived here before the renovation and can tell you that this looks much better now. Honestly, we didn’t’ expect such a change to happen, and now we are anxious to move here. We are currently dwelling at the Universiade Village, and this dorm is now on par with that. Moreover, it has an advantage of being situated in the city center”.

It will now only take one more month before the inhabitants are able to celebrate housewarming.
