The journal was inducted into the EBSCO database.

Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Iskander Yarmakeyev told us that this was the result of the longstanding effort to promote Tatarica on the international stage.

EBSCO contains the resources of such publishers as Wiley-Blackwell, Elsevier, Springer, Harvard Business School, Taylor and Francis, University of California Press, American Institute of Physics, Transaction Publishers, and many others. EBSCO unites over 350 full-text databases with journals, magazines, books, reproductions, multimedia files collected since 1950.

Tatarica started its history in 2013. It is dedicated to the history, culture, folklore, philosophy, religion, education, and arts of the Tatar people and is issued both in print and electronically.

Dr. Yarmakeyev elaborates, «The editorial borad is based in our Institute, the editor-in-chief is Director of the Institute Radif Zamaletdinov. Tatar researchers from all over the world publish their works here. The journal also follows the activities of prominent scientists of Tatar ethnicity, no matter their field of study».

The journal is published in English, Tatar, and Russian languages and is distributed to libraries, universities, research center, and Tatar diasporas around the world.

The participants of the recent International Forum «Preserving and Develop Languages and Culture» noted the journal’s high quality and importance for Turkic studies. Among those who expressed their praise were Mostafa Oner of Ege University (Turkey) and Aleksander Kiklewicz of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
