Kazan University Representatives Visit Confucius Institute Forum in China

The forum is an annual event held during Confucius' Birthday celebration days.

The forum's program included sharing experience, visiting Chinese schools and universities, meeting with municipal administrators. This was an appropriate venue for showcasing KFU's strengths to colleagues and potential students.

Unexpectedly enough, Russia was only represented by Kazan University this year. Naturally, much attention was directed towards our delegates – Deputy Director of IIRHOS Valery Letyaev and Lecturer of the Department of Chinese and Asia-Pacific Studies Anna Vorzheva. They actively participated in all the events.

Municipal officials of Quzhou expressed their deep interest in Russian-Chinese relations and respect towards President Vladimir Putin.

The delegates visited foreign language schools and presented KFU's programs and recent changes at the University. The students showed much interest in the long history of Chinese studies in Kazan.

Confucius Institute of KFU not only contributes immensely to Sinology in Kazan since its establishment in 2007 but is also a major factor in the University's international competitiveness. It provides constant presence of native speakers teaching Chinese language to Kazan students.

Further deepening of comprehensive economic and cultural cooperation between Russia and China allows us to be confident in our alumni's competitiveness in the labor market.
