Medical Simulation Center Using the Experience of KFU to Be Opened In Japan

Juntendo University plans to establish its own Medical Simulation Center based on KFU's experience.

The decision was made during Juntendo delegation's visit to Kazan University.

Dr. Arai Hajime, Dean of Medicine at Juntendo, says, "We were impressed by the quality of medical simulators created by KFU graduates and Eidos-Medicine LLC. The opening of our own similar center utilizing this tech is tentatively scheduled for autumn 2015".

Simulation medicine is currently making its first steps in Japan, so Russian experience in this field was of great interest to the visitors. Lenar Valeev, Director of Eidos-Medicine LLC, confirmed that the first simulators package of 15 units will be sent to Japan soon.

"This will become the first testing ground. If the experience proves successful, it will further be used to establish a network of such centers in Japan", added Mr. Valeev.

Eidos-Medicine LLC currently occupies 60 percent of the Russian medical simulators market. The organization's profile fits the latest efforts in import substitution, in the past most of the simulators were imported from the USA.
