KFU Placed 72nd In QS BRICS 2015 Rankings

Kazan University remains in the Top 100 BRICS universities in the QS Rankings.

The ranking currently lists 202 universities. The top two institutions – Tsinghua University and Peking University – retained their leadership, whereas Moscow State University is now fourth after being outpaced by Fudan University.

QS Rankings are based on expert polls. This time the pool included 55 887 researchers and 8 201 employers. There are 8 evaluation criteria: academic reputation, employer reputation, student/faculty ratio, international faculty, international students, citations per paper, papers per faculty, and faculty staff with PhD.

Vice-Rector Marat Safiullin opines, «The main point here is that KFU retains its position among Russian universities. There are some changes, of course, because other universities are rapidly developing and are being well-financed. Almost all the top universities changed their standings, for example, MSU and SPbSU».
