Representatives of Chinese Scientific Community Are Ready to Make Use of Russian Technologies

A delegation of Guangdong Association for Science and Technology visited KFU on June 15th.

The guests toured the premises of the Institute of Chemistry and the Institute of Physics.

The main goal of the visit was to assess the current state of technologies offered by KFU and to make preliminary decisions on the possible commercial use of those technologies. The Chinese delegation also showed interest in widening the scope of academic cooperation. Han Xi, one of the members of the group, says, “I am impressed by the level of equipment that you have here. I am sure that more Chinese students will be interested to study here when we tell them about this infrastructure and these labs. We know that your University is one of the leading research centers of Russia”. The guests then had a sit-down with Sergey Nikitin, Director of the Institute of Physics.

The University has a wide network of various cooperation projects with Chinese research and educational institutions. Among them are Shanghai Observatory, National Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xinjiang University, Hunan Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, Guangxi Normal University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and others. Confucius Institute of KFU was established in 2007.
