Summer School 'Space Science'

Within the framework of International Forum : "SpaceKazan-2015" the school took place at KFU and Tatarstan Academy of Science

The program of the event under supervision of Prof.Nail Sakhibullin was dedicated to current planet and asteroid investigations coordinate measuring systems in astronomy and geodesy, and education provided by planetariums throughout Russia.

Nearly 50 Kazan high schoolers, PhD students and young scholars from Kazan, Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Pulkovo Observatory along with Cheboksary, Aktobe (Kazakhstan), Astrakhan, Ioshkar-Ola, Ufa, and Yaroslav Planetariums participated.

Delivered lectures covered modern space investigations of Solar system, study of 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko comet with Rossetta space probe mission, atmosphere and surface of Mars and Venus. Problems of space traffic, the influence of relative and cosmological effects on travel of Solar system objects, evolution of planetary systems and the scope of UV-astronomy. Leading specialists of planetariums shared their experience in creating modern full-dome programs.
