KFU to Start Big Cooperation Projects in Medicine with Leading Japanese Research Centres

A delegation from RIKEN and Juntendo University arrived to hold negotiations in fields of mutual interest.

Japanese researchers are at the University since yesterday, June 4th. The delegation consists of Hayashizaki Yoshihide (RIKEN, Chief Scientist), Arai Hajime (Juntendo University, Department of Neurosurgery), Sato Nobuhiro (Juntendo University, Department of Gastroenterology), and Mogushi Kaoru (Centre for Genomics and Regenerative Medicine, Juntendo University).

The delegation is here to discuss cooperation in OMICS techologies, genomics research, biomarkers research.

The presentation took place at KFU with participation from Rector Ilshat Gafurov and heads of priority research projects.

The Rector said that all the discussed projects are feasible, more detailed negotiations will take place on June 5th on the premises of Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology. The tripartite agreement may be signed in the nearest future.
