American Professor Yuri Lyvov: 'Kazan University undergoes dynamic development'

New academic year at Kazan Federal University starts with series of lectures by the leading professor of Nanotechnologies, Doctor of Science in Physics-Mathematics Yuri Lvov (professor at the Institute for Micromanufacturing, Louisiana Tech University, USA).

Lectures will last for 3 days (September 3-5) at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology at KFU. Professor Lvov will speak about new developments, areas of research and existing and potential projects at Institute for Micromanufacturing.

Professor Lvov is also an American partner of the joint research group of G8 grant whereas Kazan team is headed by Ravil Fakhrullin.

Professor Lvov: “It is my first visit to KFU. This is a beautiful well-kept university campus. I'm very sensitive when I see bad attitude to universities. I'm always interested to compare the universities in the world. In American universities the key areas are natural sciences, while you practice the classic approach with its characteristic versatility. Kazan University can be described as a dynamic institution, and we are interested in collaborating with active and energetic people.”
