European scholarships for young researchers from KFU

November 17, 2014 the presentation of academic mobility program Erasmus Mundus Aurora II took place in the East Wing Conference Hall of Kazan Federal University.

The presentation was held by Olga A. Vershinina, Deputy Head of Department of External Affairs of Kazan Federal University, along with the curator of the program, University of Turku International Office specialist, Mari Leino, and Erasmus Mundus Triple I grantee of 2008, a specialist of  the Unit for Academic Mobility, Tatiana Vakhitova.

During her presentation, Olga Vershinina gave an explicit information on the application procedure, on the list of required documents and enclosures for each mobility level, on the challenges previous applicants were facing as well as shared many useful tips gained from years of being program?s supervisor within Kazan Federal University.

The presentation was continued by Mari Leino, who?s currently undergoing her monthly internship in KFU as a part of the program. She elaborated on the common mistakes that the participants make, and also drew attention to some specifics in execution of the required documents.

Clearly, the presented program got those who came really interested, as they were actively asking experts questions.

Kazan University participates in the Erasmus Mundus programs (Triple i, Aurora, Aurora II) since 2008. The main purpose of the program is to promote cooperation and academic mobility between the partner universities (10 European and 12 Russian universities). Coordinator of the program is the University of Turku, Finland.

Aurora II program enables doctorate, post-doctoral, academic and administrative staff to temporary enroll to various mobility periods in one of the European universities participating in the program:

Grantees receive a monthly scholarship (1500-2500 euros / month. depending on the mobility level) and get some other expenses covered from program funding.
