Universiade Village Students’ Association became a total winner of the fan zone contest among dormitories of higher education institutions of Kazan, held by Sport Fan Centre and Kazan Committee for Youth Affairs.
A special commission, consisting of the heads of fan clubs of AK BARS hockey club, Uniks basketball club, Rubin football club, Zenit-Kazan volleyball club, and representatives of the Committee for Children’s and Youth Affairs of Kazan-city, visited Universiade Village. A warm atmosphere touched feelings of all attendees, while a supply of energy and necessary fan attributes created a true atmosphere of a living stadium.
The commission promised Universiade Village habitants to provide them with required information about matches, as well as with tickets and season passes to various sporting events.
Throughout the Olympic Games students actively monitored competition results and supported Russian national team. On the 23rd of February many fans got together to watch a fascinating large-scale show – the closing ceremony of the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi. Habitants of Universiade Village said goodbye to the Olympic flame, but mass viewing of sporting events will be continued.
