This week, faculty members of Kazan Federal University have started training at Heriot-Watt University (Scotland) on "Development of innovative companies in the field of biotechnology, laser and computer technology on the basis of higher education."
The delegation includes the managers of small innovative companies of KFU, researchers, representatives of the Innovation Development Office. Kazan University group will undergo a two-week training program, developed with the participation of businessmen, lawyers, and economists, as well as experts from various industries using relevant examples of their own expertise.
The training program will comprise visits to research centers, universities and companies, as well as real success stories of Scottish companies with detailed business plan development.
The assignments for the group will include developing a strategy for licensing of intellectual property, joint projects with industry, funding of spin-outs and making investment presentations.
KFU delegation headed by Vice-Rector of KFU Kashapov is expecting two weeks of intense work when our colleagues will have the opportunity not only to gain knowledge in the field of innovation management, but also to present Kazan University to British colleagues.
