Mr. De La Riva was also tasked with making arrangements for the upcoming visit of the Ambassador of Spain to Russia and evaluating potential for international masters programs. Kazan University is a home to the largest Spanish Center of Education and Culture in the Volga region.
Spanish colleagues showed interest in establishing joint educational programs. It must be noted, that Spanish language is quite widely taught in Kazan and Tatarstan. Many young people choose Spanish for the benefit of their future careers; the language is, of course, essential in dealing with the vast South American region that has become much more interesting for Russia.

Spanish-speaking countries are popular job markets for our alumni. Spain itself is also interesting to us as an academic partner”.
