In November 2014 during the visit of Kazan University to Cuba the parties signed a cooperation agreement between the University of Havana and the Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
In his speech, Emilio Lozada Garcia emphasized that Cuba will always remember with gratitude the fact that in the most challenging times for Cuba in the 80-s and 90-s, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev gave his full support to Cuba.
The culmination of the first part of the Forum was the signing of cooperation agreement between KFU and Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technology of the Republic of Cuba and the University of Information Technologies of the Republic of Cuba.
