Interim President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov addressed the attendees during the opening ceremony at Expo Kazan.
The forum is organised by Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, PJSC Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, PJSC Tatneft, PJSC TAIF, CJSC Neftekosortsium, and the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan.
President Minnikhanov said that oil, gas, and petrochemicals form the basis of the economies of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, thus the forum and its events are important for the development of those industries in Russia.
Governor Khamitov mentioned that there are about 40 exhibitors from Bashkortostan this year. ‘Tatarstan and Bashkortostan are two inseparable parts of the oil and gas industry of Russia. We will work on establishing new ties with each other and strengthening the existing ones’.
Over 200 participants arrived to Kazan, among them 50 from Tatarstan, 130 from other federal subjects of Russia, 16 from overseas (China, Denmark, USA, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Belarus, India).
The forum includes 3 special exhibitions and 6 conferences.
