Written by Ed.D, professor of the Department of theory and methodology of geographical and environmental education Zaudet Khusainov the experimental textbook “The Environment” for the 2nd grade elementary school students with Russian as a language of instruction was included into the catalogue of a recent Paris Book Fair
The textbook was created in collaboration with Tatarstan Institute of Education Development. According to the decision made by the Presidium of Russian Academy of Natural History to provide informational support to authors of academic literature, and together with scientific and educational relevance of the textbook, it was chosen to be presented at the International Paris Book Fair.
All the efforts of Kazan scientist were highly appreciated and the textbook received a golden medal of the Paris Book Fair. In addition, it was published in the special edition of “Science Review” and was also included into the special catalogue of "Paris Book Fair-2015".
The fair itself was a grandiose intellectual event of the year. It was visited by many French and foreign politicians, artists among which there was President François Hollande and Prime-Minister Manuel Valls. The opening ceremony was greeted by French Minister of Culture and Communication Fleur Pellerin.
During 4 days the fair hosted 200000 people and the exposition was presented by 1200 biggest publishers from 50 countries. There were arranged more than 300 meetings related to book publishing, book products distribution and copyrights issues as well as questions about academic literature.
NB: Zaudet A. Khusainov – member of the Russian Academy of Natural History, an author of more than 100 articles, 5 monographies, 36 textbooks and study guides both in Tatar and Russian. Based on merit and achievements in scientific and education activity he was honored with 15 different awards which are: Founder of Scholar School, Honoured Scientist and Teacher, Vernadsky Medal e t.c.
