Some agreements were reached during the Educational World Forum and Bett 2016.
The exhibition this year attracted 35 thousand visitors from 120 countries.
Tatarstani delegation included Advisor to the Rector of Kazan University Lyudmila Nugumanova. Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov was also among the visitors.
Two of the round tables at the event were dedicated to the promotion of Russian education. The second of them touched upon particular projects that can be presented at MMCO Program in April 2016. For example, Lego can show new kits with symbols of Russian technology, such as Soyuz or the Sputnik.
Tatarstani representatives held negotiations with IT companies, of which Lego Education, Promethean, and Smart Technologies are now interested in co-organizing the International Olympiad in Informatics 2016 in Kazan.
Meetings with University of Oxford and University of Cambridge also took place.
Cambridge representatives showed interest in cooperation with KFU lyceums, in particular, language learning and student exchange. Anna Gorizontova and Ben Knight are going to visit Kazan University in February 2016 to talk about the prospective cooperation agreement.
As for Oxford, partnership with the university started during a meeting with Tatiana White from Oxford Heritage Travel in October 2015. The negotiations led to the decision to introduce special English language training for Lobachevsky Lyceum students. Kazan University will soon send a delegation to Oxford to make arrangements for this program.
