The Minister visited on September 20th, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Industry of Tatarstan Denis Valeev.
The guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector Linar Latypov and made a usual tour of the History Museum, the Emperor’s Hall, and Lenin Memorial Classroom. Dr. Latypov then gave a presentation of the University and its cooperation with Portuguese colleagues.
After the talks Minister Cabral noted, “This excellent educational institution where Leo Tolstoy and Vladimir Lenin studied is a university with big traditions and looks to the future”. Kazan University currently has work links with three Portuguese universities, so, as the Minister said, there is immense potential for cooperation in student exchange and joint research. Of course, Portugal is also open for everyone, including students, tourists, and job seekers.
“Portuguese people are very hospitable, and our climate is excellent”, concluded the guest, extending an invitation for a return visit.
