KFU branch in Naberezhnye Chelny concluded a cooperation agreement with the University of Brazil

KFU branch in Naberezhnye Chelny concluded an agreement on cooperation with the State University of Bahia, Brazil. This is the first such agreement with the University Institute of Latin America.

The agreement provides for the mutual exchange of students and faculty , joint research , exchange of training programs and publications.

Practical cooperation between universities began last year when Publio Carlos from the University of Bahia delivered lectures in KFU branch in Naberezhnye Chelny. Head of the Department of Logistics and Marketing , Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor  Idar Puryaev was invited by the Brazilian side to deliver lectures on Economics.

Brazil is a member of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) like Russia. These are fast-growing developing economies, where lives the half of world's population. Recently Brazil started to express interest  in the economy, culture and education of the Russian Federation. Branch in Naberezhnye Chelny considers this agreement as a good opportunity for the expansion of international relations in this remote region, especially in the context of attracting Brazilians to study at our University .
