An agreement considering joint research was signed by the two sides.
The united research groups will be formed shortly. Each side will conduct its share of work. ITIS will concentrate on robotics, machine comprehension and affective computing. Lanzhou University will take affective computing as well along with the study of emotional reactions and psychiatric diseases.
"Cooperating with one of the biggest universities of China will definitely be mutually beneficial, - says Director of ITIS Ayrat Khasyanov. - Each of the participating sides has the equipment that will make working in tandem more efficient and fruitful".
"Mirror" labs will be established in both universities. The cooperation also includes visits to China for seminars, master classes and conferences. Some events will also be held in Russia. Naturally, exchange programs are also a part of the deal.
