Head of the Kazan Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences Oleg Sinyashin: 'Our genetic affinity was never broken'

On February, 28 members of the Kazan Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences headed by its Chairman Oleg Sinyashin visited Kazan University.

Visit was held in the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of science, education and innovations between KFU and Kazan Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences which was signed on February, 8 in 2013.

The University partners visited research laboratories at the Institute of Physics, Alexander Butlerov Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology and the Research- and- Educational Center of Pharmaceuticals. Delegation of scientists was interested in the capabilities of modern, unique equipment which was purchased in the framework of KFU Program of Development and researches conducted on it. In addition to research laboratories, guests also took a tour of the premises for the general practical classes for students.

Later scholars have gathered in round table to discuss what they saw in laboratories and to define plans for future joint activities.

According to the Head of the Kazan Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences RAS, close cooperation of scientists of the University and the Academy will serve for the good of the whole science of Kazan. During the meeting it was suggested to fill the "key document" with partnership agreements with institutes of Kazan Scientific Center, and hold presentations on different areas to get acquainted with developments of partners in details. Their comments and suggestions expressed both sides.
