100th AERA meeting was held in Washington, D. C. on April 8th – 12, 2016 with over 15 thousand professionals in attendance.
This is the first visit by KFU's employees to such an event. The two lucky individuals were Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education Aydar Kalimullin and Deputy Director of the same institute Roza Valeeva. They were the participants of the comparative study of teacher education initiated by the University of Oxford.
During the special session at the meeting researchers from 11 countries summarized the results and discussed the outcome of the project. Oxford Press will publish a collective monograph describing the international experience of pedagogical education reforms, the Russian part will be authored by Kazan University. The professionalism of Kazanites was recognized by peers, and our scientists will soon partake in new comparative studies.
This AERA meeting was attended by only two Russian universities. This recognition will undoubtedly be useful for the further advancement of Kazan University in international partnerships and the implementation of its Competitiveness Program.
