All exchange students are guaranteed a campus accommodation. Our accommodation service offers a variety of accommodation options. As a rule, for our exchange students is provided the dormitory “Universiade Village” (Derevnya Universiady). Cost of living in this dormitory is 450 RUB per month (2015/2016 academic year). Living conditions are comfortable: room for 3-4 persons,1 kitchen, 1WC and shower. The number of rooms is limited and therefore early applications will have a priority. After you send us Housing application form, we will provide assistance with accommodation.
Dormitory residence permission is granted only upon medical examination at either university or city student polyclinic. You have to bring X-Ray (valid 1 year) and RW blood test (valid 10 days) to medical examination at Student polyclinic.
In case of need, X-Ray and blood test can be taken in Kazan. During the period, when you pass the medical examination in Kazan, we can provide you temporary accommodation on campus. If you are planning to pass the medical examination in Kazan, please inform us no later than 2 weeks in advance.

Getting to Kazan and Meeting Arrangements
The nearest airports to Kazan are Kazan and Moscow.
The international airport Kazan is situated 26 km to the south-east of the city centre. It is easy to get by bus from airport to dormitory Derevnya Universiady. From the airport you can take the Bus 197 route Airport “Kazan” – Derevnya Universiady - Prospekt Pobedy Str. (metro station “Prospekt Pobedy”) Agro-industrial centre “Kazan”. The bus starts at 6.00 and finishes at 22.00. Traffic interval: 20 minutes. Fare: 20-40 rubles. You can get by bus the metro station “Prospekt Pobedy” and use underground to get the city center (station “Ploshchad Tukaya”). KFU and International Office of KFU are close to underground station.
You can take taxi from the airport, it can cost 600 Rubles or more. There is Information Point near domestic flights arrival zone. The personnel can help you to get a taxi.
Via Moscow: The trip from Moscow to Kazan can either be made by plane (from Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports) or by train (to Kazanskiy railway station). The duration of the train trip is about 12 hours (sleeper). Flight prices from Moscow to Kazan normally start at 5000 RUR, while train tickets start at 1000 RUR. Individuals who plan to travel to Kazan through Moscow should note that, if their plane or train arrives in Moscow in the morning, it is possible to leave for Kazan on the same day. Otherwise, they would have to stay in Moscow overnight.
Kazan's railway station is located close to the city center. You can take buses 30, 63, 10 to get to the bus stops “Ploshad Tukaya” or “Universitet”.
If you inform us a few days in advance of the time and date of your arrival in Kazan, as well as your flight/train/car number, we will arrange picking you up from the airport or the railway station. The pick-up will cost you 1000 RUR from the airport and 400 RUR from the railway station. You have to request the transfer in your Arrival Information Form and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
