I am sincerely glad to welcome you at the site of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication! You have opened the door into a unique home!
The Institute acquired its name not so long ago but its walls stood the text of time.
Under a common roof the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication has united several departments of the former Kazan State University and Tatar State University of Pedagogics and Liberal Arts.
Indeed both of these universities have experienced renaming in their history, but , all their departments have continued accomplishing their mission of nurturing a true specialist, a highly-qualified professional. If your aim is alike, you may strive for a sacramental diploma at one of the three divisions. If you study at Leo Tolstoy Division of Russian and Foreign Philology, Gabdulla Tukai Division of Tatar Philology and Intercultural Communication or Salikh Saidashev Higher School of Arts, you will be able to acquire the diploma of the specialist in philology, translation and interpreting or art, music, choreography, and design.
The Institute is one of the largest in Kazan Federal University. It unites over 3500 students, 300 experienced professors, lecturers and administrative staff members who study and work in ultra-modern high-standard buildings located in the centre of Kazan.
Student years in our Institute fill the lives of young people with new knowledge and skills, emotions and impressions. Our students are taught to think creatively, which enables them to look in the future with confidence.
