Many teachers of the department completed two-year higher educational courses in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In 1983 V. V. Ovsyannikov became the head of the department. During his superintendence teachers of the department were actively engaged in research, were enrolled in postgraduate studies and presented their theses. A. V. The resulting cooperation contributed to the library funds of the Department. Moreover, expat teachers started shift work at the Departments, in particular Fulbright Russia participants.
