Collaboration with the universities of Mexico began in 2006 when the General Agreement on academic, scientific and cultural cooperation with the Autonomous National University of Mexico ("UNAM") was signed.
Today, KFU collaborates with three Mexican universities:
The possibility of signing an agreement with the University of Technology Mixtec of Oaxaca is discussed today. The main directions of cooperation with Mexican universities are exchange of professors and research staff, students and graduates, as well as work on joint research projects.
In 2010 six Mexican citizens studied at Kazan Federal University. In 2011 two people from Mexico came to KFU for trainings, as well as two KFU specialists went to Mexico to participate in international scientific events.
