The Institute incorporates 15 Departments, where new and topical scientific specialties are developed – fundamental medicine (cellular and gene technologies in medicine, molecular biomedicine, biomedicine engineering), biological nanotechnology and biological materials, other technologies of living systems, bioinformatics, cosmic biology, biological diversity, biological invasion, and many others. Faculty Departments and laboratories are fitted up with unique modern research equipment.

Graduates master methods of microscopic examination, gene diagnostics, nanotechnologies, nuclear magnetic resonance, electron paramagnetic resonance, and all skills of a highly professional specialist in Biology.
