Bus and trolleybus

There is convenient bus route network in Kazan. About 20 routes arrive to the University's central campus from all parts of the city. You can search for available routes on web services such as 2GIS. Many bus stops feature electronic schedule displays.The main routes from the Universiade Village to the Institute are #47 (Bus), #8 (Trolleybus).




Metro

Kazan Metro was opened in 2005 and is the youngest in the country. There are currently 10 stations, and more are under construction.

The station near the Universiade Village is Prospekt Pobedy, the one near the University – Tuqay Square. The trip between them is about 10 minutes.





Pricing

One ticket is 25 RUB. Electronic transport card payment for one ride is 23 RUB. The transport card itself costs 75 RUB; after that you can fill it as often as necessary at post offices, transport authority kiosks, and various other establishments in the city.

Students who are members of the Student Union can receive reimbursements for transport fare – up to 500 RUB. Visit the Union office at UNICS Center, Room 108 for more information.
