The Stukenberg Geological Museum, of Kazan University, is one of the oldest and comprehensive natural history museums in Russia. The modern collection of the museum (400,000 units) includes sections on mineralogy, crystallography, paleontology, historical geology, fauna of the Ice Age, petroleum geology, geodynamic processes and human evolution. Monographic collections are the basis of interdisciplinary research and training master's and PhD theses in all areas of geology.
