The period of mastering the educational program: 4 years (full-time)

The area of graduates’ professional activity: linguistic education, cross-language communication, intercultural communication, theoretical and applied linguistics and  new information technology.

After getting the degree of "Academic bachelor" graduates can work as teachers of Russian as a foreign language at various levels of teaching, in the international relations’ departments of educational institutions, companies and organizations of different ownership forms engaged in international activities, and realizing international contacts, in the editorial offices, publishing houses and other organizations connected with the analysis and processing of international information, international advertising, in travel agencies, engaged in international tourism and international information activities.

Theoretical basics of the first foreign (Russian) language: general issues: General Linguistics; Fundamentals of linguistics; Sociolinguistics, ethnolinguistics; Modern trends in linguistics; Introduction to intercultural communication theory: general issues; Lexicology (Russian); Theoretical Grammar (Russian); Theoretical Phonetics (Russian); Stylistics (Russian); Russian language and culture of speech.

Ancient languages and cultures: The History of the Russian language; Latin language.

Russian as a foreign language: morphemics and derivation of the Russian language; Functional-communicative des­cription of Russian as a foreign language; Listening; Corrective phonetics course; Reading (text type); Workshop on the culture of verbal communication; Rhetorical workshop; Philological analysis of the text; Workshop on the spelling and punctuation of the Russian language; Lingua regional geography (Russian as a foreign language); Testing and practice of lingua didactic testing (TORFL).

History and Theory of Literature: Essentials of literature; Folk culture and folklore; Russian literature of the XIX century; Russian literature of the XX century; Foreign literature; Theory of Literature.

The degree of "Academic bachelor" is assigned and a state diploma is issued upon completion of training. There is a possibility of continuing education for “master’s degree” in the following areas of training: 45.04.01 - Philology, 45.04.02 - Linguistics, 44.04.01 - Pedagogical Education.
