Semion A. Altshuler is the organizer of the present-day education in theoretical physics in Kazan university
Corresponding member of USSR Academy of Sciences, Prof. Semion Altshuler (24 September 1911 – 24 January 1983) is a distinguished theorist, who established a major center on radiospectroscopy in Kazan. He gave a description to the phenomenon of acoustic paramagnetic resonance in 1950s and developed its applications.
