Training course within project TEMPUS ALMEET Intercultural education experience in multicultural environment took place in Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of KFU.
The course was held by Jamilya Mustafina, PhD in Philological sciences, professor, head of Foreign Languages Department. The target audience was the academic staff of various Universities and Institutes of the city. The training course covered the provisions, stages, and models of a language policy in federative and multinational states, the notion of tolerance, and education. The trainer introduced Life Long Learning concept.
When the course was coming to its end, the audience teamed up in three groups and was given a task to define the ways for minor languages development in education: pre-school, primary, secondary school, and further education. The task was successfully fulfilled and the audience could answer the trainers additional questions considering the topics covered.
The training course was an opening for sequences of events within project Tempus Allmeet. Further the audience will be exposed to the foreign language policy experience and have an opportunity to discuss and assess various language planning models in multicultural regions.
